3100 Run and Become – The Movie

Perhaps the most elusive, elite multiday race in the world, the Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race, takes place in Queens, New York City each summer. This race, (first held in 1996 as the 2700 mile race and became the 3100 in 1997), is held around one square sidewalk block (0.56 miles) and requires a minimum of 59 miles a day for 52 days to complete the event. Relentless 2012

A new project recently announced is the Relentless seies of ultras scheduled for October/November 2012. This looks like the biggest ultra series ever put together in the UK. Organised by Ultrarunning.uk.com the series offers the chance to run 1,600 miles in 30 days. There are 5 events of 300 miles each and thirty ultramarathons plus shorter 1, 3 & 6 mile races called The Children in Need Challenges and these events run through all the 47 English counties.
