The Kendal Skyline Ultra 50km, supported by The North Face, is returning to the 2025 Kendal Mountain Festival!
Taking place on Saturday 22nd November 2025, starting at 9:00 am this trail route is perfect for both a first-time ultrarunner looking to take on their first 50km and for experienced trail runners aiming to set a new PB.
Routed across the remarkable skyline of Kendal, a pure trail run that takes in local landmarks and geologic features including limestone escarpments, a castle, a deer park and river trails.
With a glorious town centre mass start on closed roads, fantastic trail running in between, and an atmospheric finish that swings into the Basecamp cheered on by hundreds of Festival goers, this is an ultra not to be missed!

Adidas TERREX Kendal Trail Run
Starting at 11:00 am the same day at the Kendal Festival the Adidas TERREX Kendal Trail Run, an integral part of the Kendal Mountain Festival, organised on a not-for-profit basis to support the amazing volunteer work of Kendal Mountain Rescue Team takes place.
Join hundreds of festival goers in this rip-roaring 10km trail run, visiting scenic landmarks and fells used by the local running community.
The route is pure trail running, strewn with natural obstacles (no arbitrary mud-baths or other obstacles required), just lots of great ascents, green vistas, some hard-packed and grassy trails and a great town centre finish.
