Beyond the races themselves, Bucovina Ultra Rocks by UTMB® offered an experience that celebrated the region’s rich natural and cultural heritage. Through the Flavours of Bucovina initiative, runners and their companions had the opportunity to discover local gastronomy,
while the Municipal Library of Câmpulung Moldovenesc hosted the Archive of Horizons, a dedicated space for the international trail running community where participants can donate, exchange, and discover books before or after their races.
The event also places a strong focus on supporting women in trail running through the Her Trail. Her Horizon. initiative. Female participants had access to menstrual products at every aid station, as well as dedicated restroom facilities. In addition, pre-race meetups and group warm-up sessions created opportunities for women to connect, share experiences, and strengthen the trail running community.
At the same time, Bucovina Ultra Rocks by UTMB® is committed to making trail running more accessible to athletes with disabilities, in line with the UTMB® World Series inclusion policy.
Bucovina Ultra Rocks by UTMB® is organized by Sport Management Events, in partnership with the Municipality of Câmpulung Moldovenesc and the Suceava County Council. The event marks a major milestone for trail running in Romania, putting the country on the map of one of the world’s leading international trail running circuits.
