The 2025 Dragon’s Back Race
The Dragon’s Back Race starts Monday 1st September at at 06:00 am BST. Nearly 300 ultrarunners will gather at Conwy Castle in North Wales to begin their 380km journey across the mountains to reach Cardiff Castle in 6 days.
Formatted as a stage race, the distances vary from 52k for the shortest day to 71k for the longest day and runners have 14 hours each day to complete the distance.
Women’s favourites are Holly Wooten (GBR) and Lianne Van Dijk (NED)
Mens favourites are Pieter De Wortelaer (BEL) and David Parrish (SCO).
